Chenzhou City has vigorously developed ecological and cultural construction projects. Focusing on the protection of natural ecology and the promotion of ecological culture, Chenzhou has advocated the concept of green production and green consumption, kept the ecological red line, implemented the ecological responsibility, and formed an ecological atmosphere of "everyone sharing the ecology, everyone building the ecology".

In the whole city, Chenzhou City has focused on the integration of traditional ancient villages, the gathering of ancient houses, and the concentration of ancient trees and famous trees to build an ecological and cultural communication demonstration area; actively promoted the establishment of provincial forest counties in 9 counties and cities of the city, and built the "big cross" urban agglomerations of Chenzigui and Chenyongyi into a green home of forest ecology "green heart" and urban-rural integration. Within the downtown area, Chenzhou has continued to increase the construction of Nanling Botanical Garden and Suxianling ecological and cultural education base, and built into an industrial demonstration base, a science popularization education demonstration base and a production research combination demonstration base. Four provincial ecological civilization education bases and four national ecological culture villages have been successfully established. Chenzhou has continued to promote the creation of ecological civilization towns (streets), villages (communities), organs, schools and enterprises. 88 ecological civilization towns (streets), 220 villages (communities), 220 organs, 132 schools and 88 enterprises have been established in the city. Chenzhou also comprehensively promoted the "ecological civilization education book" into teaching materials and classrooms, and implemented the knowledge of ecological environmental protection and the concept of ecological civilization in the traditional subject courses. The satisfaction of the masses in the construction of ecological civilization reached more than 90 percent.
